As we are deep in the midst of the holiday season, numbers have moderated. Due to fewer buyer showings that happen this time of year, new listings were down 13.3% for single family homes and 13.7% for Condo/Coop/TIC properties. Pending sales decreased 15.5% for single family homes and 0.7% for Condo/Coop/TIC properties. Year over year comparisons remain strong including a 20.4% gain in single family homes prices and a 6.5% upward movement in Condo/COOP/TIC prices. We will experience low inventory through the holidays and the beginning of the new year. But look to 2014 for continued strong sales numbers.
